Before the Lunderg System, there were TWO options:

The main complaint of the existing alternating pressure pads is that they are too firm, even in the softest setting!
This happens because the pumps are cheaply made and lack high quaility components which adjust the pressure and help ensure it is accurate.
In other words , the “pressure knob or adjuster” on cheap pumps DOESN’T change the pressure; It ONLY limits the time air cells remain inflated, thus causing cheap products to feel Firm in the Soft settings.

The Solution – Part 2

Lunderg has completely re-designed and re-engineered the pressure pump from the inside, making sure the pressure is adjustable & accurate. On the outside, we changed the pressure adjuster from a knob to a more accurate and easy-to-use horizontal sliding adjuster.
And WHY does all of this matter? These innovations result in a pad that is Soft when set to Soft and Firm when set to Firm. While this should be the norm, all competitor systems lack these features.
The Solution – Part 3
Alternating or Static, you choose!
With the Lunderg Alternating Pressure Pad & Pump, you can choose between the Alternating mode (the standard and default mode) and the Static mode.
The Static mode helps your loved one get used to the system, as you can stop the alternation at intervals for them to rest. For example, most customers love to stop the alternation while having lunch! The Static mode is also extremely useful, making things like washing the patient or tidying up the bed much more manageable.
How does it work? 
Alternating Pressure Mode (default mode)
In this mode, the selected air pressure within the mattress pad is cycled approximately every 6 minutes by alternating between two main air chambers, causing a shift in the patient’s weight distribution.
Lunderg’s pad has been designed to operate without the user feeling any intense movement.
Static Pressure Mode
Press the “Static” ON button to activate this mode. This process can take up to 6 minutes, depending on your current alternating cycle and pressure setting.
Once all pad chambers are fully (and equally) inflated, the static switch will light up, confirming that the static mode is activated.

How do I know if my loved one or patient needs an alternating pressure pad?
If your loved one spends more than 15 hours a day in bed or if they are at risk of developing pressure ulcers or bedsores, an alternating pressure system is needed. Our set offers the same benefits of hospital systems at a fraction of the cost.
What is the size of the pad? And how big is the pump?
Our alternating pad (when fully inflated) is 74.8 in (without flaps) / 102.4 in (with flaps) by 35.4 in and 2.6 in thick. The pad has flaps at the 2 ends that fold over the end of the bed to keep it in place. The pump is 10.7 in x 4.7 in x 3.7 in.
Does it work outside North America Standard 110V? Does it work with 220V?
Unfortunately, our system ONLY works with North America 110V. While it could be used in 220V Countries together with a voltage converter, we don’t cover malfunctions on the pressure pump if it has been used with a voltage converter.
How long can the pressure pump be plugged in?
Our pressure pump has been designed to work continuously, so you can safely keep it plugged 24/7.
